House Account Report

The House Account Report shows details about all customer house account (store credit) balances. Explore what this useful report can do for you!

To get to this report, log in to your Admin and go to Reports. Select the House Account Report in the report selection drop-list.
The House Account Report

- Home – Click to navigate away from Reports back to your Dashboard.
- Report Drop-List – Click and select House Account Report here to view in-store credit account details across a specified range of dates for your customers.
- Range – This is the Date Range used in the report calculations in the table below. Click in this box to select another date or dates from a pop-up window as shown here:

- Refresh – Click to Refresh the page if House Account data might have changed since you first opened the report.
- Export CSV – Click to Export all the data in the report to a CSV file (spreadsheet).
- Print – Click to Print a copy of the current page of the report to a PDF file or to a printer connected to your computer.
The Data Table

- Search – Enter any text here to Search for a specific row in the data table. You can search by keyword or numeric amounts. For example, you might start typing 'Barb' to filter the search results to only Barb's House Account. The software starts searching for matches as soon as you start typing.
- Show Entries – Click and select 10, 25, 50, or 100 to show that many results per page on your report.
- Name – This column displays the Name of each customer who has an open House Account for the specified date range. Click a name to open the Report House Ledger Transactions window showing that person's transactions during the date range you've chosen (more details below).
- Opening – This column displays the House Account balance at the start of the date range you've chosen.
- Credit – This column displays the amount the customer has charged to their House Account during the date range you've chosen.
- Collection – This column displays the amount the customer has paid off from their house account during the date range you've chosen.
- Closing – This column displays the balance of the House Account at the end of the date range you've chosen.
- Sort –
The Sort icon displays in the header row of any sortable column. The currently sorted column displays in blue, as shown on the left. All other sortable columns show this icon in gray, as shown on the right. Click the column header in any sortable column to sort the table alphabetically or numerically, depending on the information in that column. Click it again to reverse the sort order.
- Total / Grand Total – The Total row tabulates each column for the current page of customer House Accounts. The Grand Total row tabulates each column across all pages in the report.
- Previous / Next – Click Previous, Next, or a Page Number to navigate to another page of report results.
Report House Ledger Transactions
If you click a customer's name in the House Account Report the Report House Ledger Transactions window will open and give you full details of all transactions involving the customer's House Account during your selected date range, as pictured below.

- Search – You can search the House Account transaction data by Ref Number (using the digits after the final hyphen), by customer Name, or by any numeric data in the data table. As soon as you start entering text, the table will filter down to matching results.
- Data Table – In the data table you can see all transactions involving the customer's House Account for the filtered date range. The table shows the Transaction Reference ID, Date & Time, Username of the staff member that processed the transaction, Credit dollar amount, Payments dollar amount, and the Running Balance of the House Account at the time of each transaction.
- Details – Click the Details button on the far right of each transaction's line to view the full Transaction Details window. For transactions in which a House Account was used to charge a credit balance for a purchase, the Payments tab will show the amount. For transactions in which a payment was made toward a House Account balance, the Items tab will show the amount.

A: No. The only way to remove or reduce a customer's balance is to pay it off.
