The Current Stock report shows your stock value, cost, price, and margin for your current inventory. Take a look!

How to Work with the Current Stock Report

 

 

The Current Stock Report

To get to this report, log in to your Admin app and go to Reports. Select Current Stock in the report selection drop-list.

  1. Home - Click to navigate away from Reports back to your Dashboard.
  2. Reports Drop-List - Click and select Current Stock to view details of the inventory you have on hand.
  3. Filter - Click and select an option here to report on a specific view of your inventory data:
    • Item - Report on your in-stock inventory by viewing the individual inventory items.
    • Category - Report on your in-stock inventory grouped by inventory category.
    • Category Group - Report on your in-stock inventory grouped by inventory category group.
    • Supplier - Report on your in-stock inventory grouped by supplier.
    • Rank - Report on your inventory grouped by Rank. Rank A is the top 20% of your sales, Rank B is the middle 60% of your sales, Rank C inventory falls into the bottom 20% of your sales, and Rank D inventory has no sales history.
  1. Refresh - Click to Refresh the page if system data might have changed since you first opened the report. For example, if another sale was just completed, you might want to refresh the page.
  2. Export CSV - Click to Export the data in the report to a CSV file (spreadsheet).
  3. Print - Click to Print a copy of this report to PDF or a printer connected to your computer.

 

Current Stock By Item

  1. Search - Enter any text here to Search for a specific row in the data table. You can search by keyword or numeric amounts. For example, you might start typing “Jack” to filter the search results to only Jack Daniels inventory. The software starts searching for matches as soon as you start typing.
  2. Show Entries - Click and select 10, 25, 50, or 100 to show that many items per page on your report.  
  3. Name - This column displays the name of each inventory item you have in stock.
  4. Supplier - This column displays the name of the primary supplier for each inventory item in your stock.
  5. Rank - This column displays the inventory ranking level (A-D) of each inventory item in your stock.
  6. Stock Qty - This column displays the in-stock quantity of each item in your stock.
  7. Price - This column displays the selling price of each item in your stock.
  8. Cost - This column displays your cost of each item in your stock.
  9. Stock Value  - This column displays the pre-tax sale value of each item in your inventory. (Quantity x Price per unit.)  
  10. Stock Cost - This column displays the total dollar amount you have paid for each item in your in-stock inventory. (Quantity x Cost per unit.)
  11. Margin - This column displays your profit margin on each item in your stock.
  12. Sort - Example of the Sort icon on the Current Stock Report. The Sort icon displays in the header row of any sortable column. The currently sorted column displays in blue, as shown on the left. All other sortable columns show this icon in gray, as shown on the right. Click the header of any sortable column to rearrange the table alphabetically or numerically, depending on the information in that column. Click it again to reverse the sort order.
  13. Previous / Next - Click Previous, Next, or a Page Number to navigate to another page of report results.

 

Current Stock By Category

The Current Stock by Category View has the Stock Quantity, Stock Value, Stock Cost, and Margin columns described above, and has the following columns as well:

  1. Name - This column displays the name of each inventory category for which you have stock.
  2. Avg Price - This column displays the average selling price of the in-stock inventory in each category.
  3. Avg Cost - This column displays the average cost (to you) of the in-stock inventory in each category.

All other report elements are described above in the Current Stock By Item section.

 

Current Stock By Category Group

The Current Stock by Category Group View has the Stock Quantity, Average Price, Average Cost, Stock Value, Stock Cost, and Margin columns described above, and has the following as well:

  1. Name - This column displays the name of each inventory category group for which you have stock.

All other report elements are described above in the Current Stock By Item section or Current Stock By Category section.

 

Current Stock By Supplier

The Current Stock by Supplier View has the Stock Quantity, Average Price, Average Cost, Stock Value, Stock Cost, and Margin columns described above, and has the following as well:

  1. Name - This column displays the name of each inventory supplier for which you have stock.

All other report elements are described above in the Current Stock By Item section or Current Stock By Category section.

 

Current Stock By Rank

The Current Stock by Rank View has the Stock Quantity, Average Price, Average Cost, Stock Value, Stock Cost, and Margin columns described above, and has the following as well:

  1. Name - This column displays the inventory performance rankings available in Bottle POS and the current stock values of each. Rank A represents the top 20% of sales, Rank B represents the middle 60% of sales, Rank C represents the lower 20% of sales, and Rank D represents no sales.
  2. % Of Stock - This column displays the percentage of all your stock performing at the A-D ranking. Ideally, you have a higher percentage of stock performing at rank A than B and so on. The lower the stock ranking of an item, the less of that item you would want to keep in stock.

A: Yes. If you have a printer connected to your device, you can click the Print button on the top right of the report page to print the current page of the report you are viewing.
