Stock Lookup in the Register

There are three ways to look up stock in the Bottle POS Register, take a look below to learn more!

You can get to this part of the system by logging into your Register App, and the Register screen will be the first thing that loads for you.

 

Find Items in the Register

  1. Barcode Scan Field - The first way to find items in the Register is to use the Stock Code field in the upper left. If the scan doesn't add the line item below automatically, click the Add button. Scan multiple times to increase the Quantity.
  2. Item Search Field - Enter all or part of the name of what you want into the Stock Search field and the system will find all matches, as pictured above. Click the search result you want and it will be added to the list of items for the transaction.
  3. Shortcut Keys & Categories - The area pictured below will have whatever Shortcut Keys you have set up for commonly purchased items. Click the Categories button to see all register categories and the number of items in each. You can click on a category to load all items as Shortcut Keys you can use to add items to the transaction.

Q: What if my barcode or name search doesn't find a result?

A: You can click the Add button to do Manual Entry for the item. This won't load it into the database, but you can get it into the transaction, enter the name, price, and quantity, and complete the transaction. The article linked above on Adding an Item From the Register has full details.
